Lifetime Achievement Award
Each year we award an outstanding individual for their fundamental contributions to IBD community in particular. Awardees are expected to have helped to improve the lives of people with IBD and their contributions, leadership and impact have been of importance for the community. Nominations for lifetime achievement award can be accepted from different universities, national research centers, medical socieites or organization and individuals. Recepient of lifetime achievement award will be receive ESCCO medal of honor and will be invited to give a memorial presentation during ESCCO annual conference.
Target group
Digestive health experts

Who have had a career spanning at least 30 years and are widely acknowledged by IBD community

Whose outstanding accomplishments have improved the lives of people with IBD diseases
Nomination criteria
In order to nominate candidates, the following documents are required:

Curriculum Vitae of the candidate

Brief statement of no more than 500 words summarising the candidate’s contribution to IBD community in particular.

A concise description of how these contributions, whether they have been in research, leadership, or mentorship, have had a lasting impact on the IBD field and/or the community and demonstrate a lifetime commitment (publications supporting these contributions may be directly referenced).

Best published Paper Award
This award will be given to the best journal article published in the past year. Selection will be based on the scientific merit of the published research, impact factor/ cite score of the journal, and importance to the field of IBD on a national, regional, or international level. The award recipient will receive a special ESCCO medal and will be acknowledged during the opening ceremony of the ESCCo annual conference.
Best Published Book Chapter
This award will be given to the best book chapter published in the past year. Selection will be based on scientific merit of the published research, impact factor/ cite score of the journal and importance to the field of IBD on a nationa, regional or international levels. Award receipient will receive a special ESCCO medal and will be acknowledged during the opening ceremony of ESCCo annual conference.

Best training course organizer
This award will be given to the best training course organizer in the past year. Selection will be based on the number of attendees and feedback from participants from the faculty. The Award recipient will receive a special ESCCO medal and will be acknowledged during the opening ceremony of the ESCCo annual conference.
